Veterans Benefits Network-Preparation for Notification (2024)

Hi all!

Just looking for some thoughts on this. My claim went to preparation for notification today. My AB8 hasn’t changed, probably because the claim hasn’t been marked complete, but my dependents no longer show up. It says “you have no dependents listed on an award ar this time” and right below that is a link that says “show dependents that are not on an award” When I click that link all my dependents are there.

Just wondering if this means my claim got reduced to below 30% even though my AB8 still shows the rating I’ve always had. Anyone ever had this happen or something similar? Thanks!

Dunno ‍♂️ gotta def wait for it to update Ebenefits does some weird stuff in the final stage.

Also, just to make you aware, claim went to preparation for notification on a Friday. Update to ebenefits took place on a Sunday.

Do you have multiple contentions? This may be because they have had the ability to grant/close out 1 or some of the contentions but have deferred the rest for further development. Which means your overall claim will remain open.

No, only one contention. Seems strange my VA letters all show increase and my disability link shows the increase but work in progress is at gathering evidence now. I guess it’s no stranger than things other people have posted about. Thanks for the reply!

You are stressing yourself out! If you have a VSO like you said in earlier post, get the answers from him/her. They can see the decision too. It can take a hot minute for everything to settle. STAY off EBENNIES!!!!!
